SAP Authorization

You do not want to give every user access to all transactions. Within the SAP system you organize the access to the different transactions through authorization profiles based on roles. In this course you will learn how this is organized in SAP and how to create these profiles yourself with and without defining roles. You will also learn how to maintain, trace and check authorizations.

Objectives After this training module the participant will be able to: Set up authorization roles according to the SAP Authorization concept Set up user profiles, user defaults and user parameters Set up functional authorization roles Besides getting a general overview of how the SAP Authorization concept is structured, the participant will perform multiple exercises in the system. Prerequisites The participant should have attended the training module SAP ECC Getting Started and preferably one of the SAP ECC Getting Acquainted training modules. Content The following subjects are part of the training module: SAP Authorization concept The profile generator Create and maintain users The repository information system Basis system access privileges System access security The training module is concluded by a test.
