SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Project System

When you perform a project within your company, this project can be booked in the SAP system using Project Systems. All aspects related to this project, like budgeting, human-resource planning, cost allocation, material allocation, reporting and scheduling amongst many other functions can be executed within the Project Systems module. In this training module you will learn how to handle a project in the SAP system.

Objectives After attending this training module, the participant will be familiar with the main ’Project System’ functions within the SAP ECC system in the business solution SAP Product Lifecycle Management. The participant will be able to create a project, to link a network to a WBS element and to perform cost calculations for a particular project. Special attention is given to the integration aspects with the business solutions SAP Financials, SAP Supply Chain Management and SAP Human Resources. The participant will learn how to confirm activities and how to compare them with planned values (hours, costs and budgets). Project control is also done via commitment management. In the concluding phase of the project, resource-related billing will be used for the billing of actual costs of the project. Prerequisites The participant should have attended the SAP ECC Getting Started training module and have basic knowledge of Project Management business processes. The training modules SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Logistics and/or SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Financial Accounting are strongly recommended. Content The following subjects are part of this training module: Organizational entities The design of a project Standard structures Responsibilities for a project Developing networks Scheduling of networks Cost and date planning Project budget and availability control Planning human resources Actual cost allocation and confirmations Project information system Gantt chart and reporting Resource-related billing Materials in projects Commitment management The training module is concluded by a test.
