This offers new solutions to parallel accounting and segment level reporting and also real time integration from Controlling to Financial Accounting. In this training module you learn the logic behind the New General Ledger. You will be able to assess the possible benefits of implementing the New General Ledger in your company. Objectives After this training module the participant will be able to perform both the end user functions and customizing of the New General Ledger, SAP’s ERP solution to the changed demands to accounting systems. The participant will learn to assess the potential benefits of the New General Ledger and have an overview of the changes in the structure and relationships between the financial functions. Prerequisites The participant should have attended the SAP ECC Getting Started, the SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Financial Accounting and the SAP ECC Getting Professional FI General training modules or otherwise be familiar with their contents. Knowledge of and affinity with financial processes are required. Content The following subjects are part of this training module: Functions and benefits of the New General Ledger Activating the New General Ledger Leading and non leading ledgers Scenarios The Segment as new organizational entity Document Splitting and Inheritance Real time integration from Controlling to Financial Accounting Allocations in Financial Accounting Ledger Based Parallel Accounting New Reports The training module is concluded by a test. The training module is available in SAP ECC (version 6.0) in English.
