SAP Getting Acquainted Business Information Warehouse (E)

This training will provide you with basic knowledge and expertise regarding the BEx (Business Explorer) reporting tools that are available in SAP Business Warehousing. You will learn how to use reports with the BEx Analyzer and the BEx Web Analyzer. You will also learn how to create a reporting environment with the help of the design tools like the BEx Query Designer, BEx Report Designer and the BEx Web Application Designer.

Objectives
After attending this training module, the participant will be familiar with the end-user functionality of SAP Business Warehousing (SAP BW). He or she will be able to use the BEx Analyzer and the BEx Web Analyzer in order to work with the analytical capabilities of reports. He or she will also become acquainted with the design tools like the BEx Query Designer (to create queries that form the basis for reports), the BEx Report Designer (to create pre-defined, formatted repots) and the BEx Web Application Designer (to create web-based reports). Attention is also given to the BEx Broadcaster which is used to mail, publish and print reports.

Target audience
This training module is intended for (key) users, project team members, functional consultants and project leaders. The objective is not only to understand the functional processes on the user side of the BW system, but also to learn to use them. The focus is on the functionality of the BW system rather than the customization of it. It provides intensive, individual hands-on training, applicable to everyday routine.

• Creating Web Reports with the BEx Web Application Designer
• Creating highly formatted reports with the BEx Report Designer

The training module is available in version 7.01. in English.

Prerequisites
To follow this course it is necessary that you are familiar with the basic principles of SAP ECC (or R/3). Although BW is a separate package, reporting is about objects defined in the source systems, in this case SAP ECC. You are expected to have followed the training modules:

• SAP ECC Getting Started;
• SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Logistics or SAP ECC Getting Acquainted Financial Accounting.

Or otherwise be familiar with their contents and learning objectives.
Also some general knowledge of Microsoft Excel is expected
