PRINCE2® Practitioner
Introduction
PRINCE2 Practitioner is the follow-up training for PRINCE2 Foundation. In this training course the complete PRINCE2 projectmanagement method is discussed. You will experience all aspects of the method through a case study based on a hotel renovation project, combined with the knowledge and experience of all course attendees.
The main focus of this training course lies on applying the PRINCE2 method and techniques, and the ability to analyse and solve problems by using good practices in complex project environments. PRINCE2 Foundation is a prerequisite for this course.

Course details
The training course consists of presentations of the theory, interactive discussions and delegate exercises based on a case study, as well as topics that are introduced by the attendees during the training course. The following topics are covered:
- The 7 processes: Starting up a Project, Initiating a Project, Directing a Project, Controlling a Stage, Managing Product Delivery, Managing a Stage Boundary, Closing a Project;
- The 7 themes: Business Case, Organization, Risk, Quality, Change, Progress, Plans
- The 7 principles of PRINCE2
- Tailoring PRINCE2 to suit your own specific requirements
- Exam training, exam hints and tips, mock exams
- Participation in the exam training will earn you credit points for the exam!
Learning method and required study hours
By using a case study and practical exercises you will gain more in-depth knowledge of and experience with the PRINCE2 method. Theory is translated into practice. Attendees can bring their own case studies to the course. Apart from the class hours, a total of approximately 28-32 hours of self-study are required for daily course preparation and exam preparation. You are facilitated by our detailed course materials, and registered attendees can start their preparations before the course starts.
Training materials
The set of training materials consist of a course binder with the PowerPoint presentations printed in full colour, a case study and test questions with model answers. In addition you will receive the text book ‘Managing successful projects with PRINCE2TM’.
Examination and certification
After attending this training course and some additional self-study you will be prepared for the official APMG PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. Forsa Advies is an accredited provider of APMG exams, and can offer this exam at the end of the training course. For open courses, the exam will take place at the course location. Residents of the Netherlands can also register for an exam at one of our exam centres in Den Haag and Huizen. A prerequisite for attending this exam is a valid PRINCE2 Foundation certificate.
The exam duration is 2.5 hours. PRINCE2 Practitioner is an open book exam. The exam requirements have been developed by APMG; the exam format and requirements can be found on the APMG website www.apmg-international.com. You will receive a Forsa Advies certificate of attendance, and after passing the exam an official APMG PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate.
In-company and custom programs
All our training courses, including the official exams can be provided in-company. Locations, dates and class hours can be adapted to your company needs. When you want to train 4 or more of your staff, in-company may be financially attractive. We will gladly write you a proposal.
