Human Resource Management is an evolving and dynamic field that challenges the ability of even the most seasoned professionals to keep abreast of policies, procedures, compliance requirements and best practices.
The Advanced Human Resource Programme enables you to strengthen your role as a senior HRM business partner: you will be able to speak the language of your colleagues in other business areas and you will be able to align human resource strategy and delivery with the (corporate) vision, mission and strategy.
The programme has four main objectives. First you develop a thorough understanding of corporate vision, mission and strategy, and how these variables relate to Human Resource Strategy. Second, you master state-of-the-art knowledge and competencies around Business Strategy, Marketing, Finance and Operations, in order to empower yourself in other business areas. Third, you learn how to execute and control advanced Human Resource Strategies including Human Resource Delivery and Measurement, Leading Change and International HRM. And throughout, you strengthen your HR (leadership) competencies.
On completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate.
In order to operate successfully as a high-performing organisation, it is imperative that those dealing with HRM issues have an in-depth understanding of both Business Management and Advanced HRM, and how they connect.
The linkage between the HR function and other corporate functions such as Finance and Operations has been clear for many years.
However, more recently, the need has arisen to create new alliances between HR and for example the IT and Marketing departments: with IT to ensure advanced e-enablement of HRM delivery, with Marketing to build on the benefits of employer branding for the crucial activities of employee recruitment and retention. That is why this specially tailored programme is rooted in two domains of management: Business Management (first part) and Advanced HRM (second part). In between parts one and two as well as after part two, participants will apply their newly acquired knowledge in work-related assignments to strengthen the return on investment of the programme. The programme will conclude with a learning review day.
Part 1: Business Management & the HR Business Partner
HR Executives need to be up-to-speed on the absolute latest business issues shaping the management agenda. It is this agenda, in fact, which sets the stage for how you, as an HR manager, can deliver value to your organisation. Our intended group of participants consists of senior Human Resources professionals and managers. They have a bachelors or masters degree and work at an HBO or academic level.
They are knowledgeable about HRM essentials such as resourcing, training and development and reward systems.
The tuition fee is € 10,950. No VAT will be charged.
The tuition fee covers lectures, tutorials and project coaching fees as well as the costs of books and other course materials. Lunches and beverages during the day are included. Dinner and accommodation are not included.
