Our approach

Your online learning journey will take place from 28 September – 25 October 2020. You will be enrolled in our online learning environment where you can study at your own pace. During the course there will be two scheduled interactive live sessions on 2 and 13 October 2020.
In between the two live sessions, you will work on exploring the possibilities of gamification of digital services in your organisation. During the second live session, you will present your idea in subgroups and will receive feedback from fellow participants and faculty. The total time investment during these 4 weeks is approximately 10 hours.

As an additional option, you can schedule a 45-minute online individual mentoring session or a 1,5 hour group mentoring session to receive additional feedback and take your idea to the next level (19-23 October 2020).

Week 1 – 28 September till 4 October
Get familiar with different aspects of gamification – online videos.

2 October, from 10.00 till 12.00, Live webinar

Exploring the potential of gamification for your organisation

  • Contextualisation/Introduction. What is gamification? Why it is important in today’s digital transition?
  • Theoretical frameworks.  How and why does gamification work? How can gamification transform personal and organisational behaviour?
  • Successful adoption of gamification strategies. How can gamification accelerate businesses through engagement?
  • Applications in digital services.
  • Ethical & social challenges of gamification. Privacy and data management.
  • Challenges & opportunities. Integration of gamification with emerging digital technologies

Week 2 – 5 October – 9 October

Assignment: exploring opportunities in your organisation & develop an idea how gamification can be employed in your organisation

Week 3 , 13 October from 10.00 till 12.00, live webinar

Let the games begin!

  • Introduction. Looking back, time to discuss self-study questions.
  • Pitch your ideaParticipants pitch their idea for applying gamification in their organisations. In subgroups, participants receive feedback and we will engage in a plenary discussion to share common challenges.
  • Next steps to take.

Week 4 – 19 October – 23 October
Utilise findings from the second online webinar to finalise your gamification idea, to present it to your department & organisation.
