Crypto forks: upgrade or scam?

After the Segwit2x hard fork was suspended and we expected the dust to settle down, Bitcoin was attacked by the Bitcoin Cash, a creation of previous August 1st hard fork. Hard forks, which are intended to be upgrades of the network, turn out to be a source of disruption to the market as well as the network. As a true believer or holder in bitcoin, or other cryptocurrencies, you might be interested to learn more about the background and effects of forks.
