Process

1. Springest will subscribe you for this group training.
2. De Taaltrainer will contact all participants by e-mail to schedule telephone or Zoom intake interviews to determine language level, focus and learning goals. The groups will then be formed based on levels and needs. 
3. De Taaltrainer will ask about your focus area: Business English or learning to communicate accurately.
4. De Taaltrainer will suggest a planning for all the groups. The lessons will take place weekly, in a virtual classroom, around lunchtime, from 12 p.m. to 14 p.m. 
5. Springest will define the final price for the course after have received the grouping and number of training hours per group from De Taaltrainer. Van Lanschot Kempen will pay this out of the Key Skills Budget. You will receive an e-mail about this price change.

Planning

• first half of June: intake invitations wil be sent out to all the participants
• second half of June: intake interviews are held
• end of June/early July: grouping, programmes, planning and costs are defined and communicated
• July: kick-off meeting to get to know the trainer and to be informed about De Taaltrainer Online Leren
• In July and Augustus the students will study online using De Taaltrainer Online Leren.
• September/October: all groups will start with their weekly online language lessons

Trainer(s)

We'll first establish your learning goals. We then select the trainer who best suits your needs and company-specific tasks and vocabulary. Our trainers are all highly experienced, native speakers who enable the participants to get the most from their course.

Intakes

Before the course begins, the selected trainer plans individual intake sessions by telephone or virtually) to establish language levels, learning needs and goals and planning preferences. We then create a tailor-made programme for an optimal learning outcome.

De Taaltrainer Online Learning

Would you like to combine and enrich the Business English course with online exercises and discussions? De Taaltrainer Online Learning makes that possible. Our platform comprises hundreds of tailor-made, business-related exercises, assignments, tips and tricks, quizzes, games, lists of vocabulary and phrases, reading exercises, videos and discussions. Everything is divided by (language) level, skill and/or discipline.

Course duration

An average language training course consists of 20 to 30 training hours. After these training hours, supplemented with 30 hours self-study, most participants will have reached 1 level higher in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

For example, if you begin at B1 level you can expect to reach B2.

If the start level is B2 or higher, or if just one or two language skills need to be improved, 20 training hours might be sufficient to achieve the learning goals. Planning

2-hour-sessions a week during office hours. Timing depends on the work schedules and learning styles of the participants. We often plan courses around lunchtime (1200- 1400).

Evaluations

Halfway through and at the end of the training course all participants will receive a link to a short evaluation form. If necessary, the course will be adjusted based on this feedback.
