In the 2-day module Working at Heights knowledge on possible risks, (inspection of) equipment, legislation etc. will be provided as well as al skills required for working and rescue at height. Aims and objectives
To ensure that delegates are able to demonstrate:

  • knowledge of hazards and risks associated with working at height,      specific to a WTG;
  • understanding of current national legislation regarding working at      heights;
  • correct identification of PPE, including identification of      European/Global standard markings e.g. harness, hard hat, lanyards, etc.;
  • knowledge and skills to correctly inspect, service, store and don the      relevant PPE, e.g. harness, lanyards, fall arresters and work positioning      equipment
  • correct use of the relevant PPE, e.g. harnesses lanyards, fall      arresters and work positioning equipment. This includes correct      identification of anchor points and correct ladder conduct;
  • correct use of evacuation devices;
  • how to approach rescue situations in WTGs and use rescue equipment      efficiently. ​

Target group

Personnel new to the global wind industry. The course accommodates personnel working onshore as well as those who work offshore.

Maximum number of participants per course
Max. 12 delegates

Prerequisites
Physical fitness is required for all delegates. A valid medical certificate of recent medical examination (not more than two years old) by a physician must be submitted.

Delegates may weigh no more than 124 kg, due to the weight limitations of the equipment used during the course. Delegates are strongly requested to bring their own safety shoes.
