General description
In the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course, you will learn methods and techniques to identify, analyze, and reduce problems in processes. You will also learn how to implement these improvements with the help of employees in your organization.

Our Green Belt course offers a strong mix of theory and practice. Using a management simulation game, you will practice applying the knowledge gained. By working through a (fictional) process in five rounds, you will learn how to quickly achieve significant improvements through proper process analysis.

The course demonstrates that working and improving according to the Lean Six Sigma method can be highly successful and enjoyable for employees in a variety of processes.

This course will certify you as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt at the highest level! Learn interactively how to apply Lean and Six Sigma in your own work or project. This course offers you the opportunity to further develop yourself as a professional while directly implementing tangible improvements in your work! During the sessions, we will cover all study materials, and there will be ample opportunity to discuss your own cases.

Course structure
The course consists of 7 days. During these sessions, a MKPC professional will guide you through the course material and translate theory into your practical work or improvement issue. You will also work with other participants on group assignments, which will be discussed in plenary sessions. Naturally, you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and review your prepared assignments. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course is delivered in three separate learning blocks (2-3-2 days, with 3 weeks in between).

Program:

Learning block 1 (2 days)
You will learn the basics and essence of Lean and Six Sigma. Lean working is about Lean Doing (the techniques) and Lean Being (the right mindset)! We will teach you how to effectively start the right improvement project.

Learning block 2 (3 days)
You will learn how to measure, analyze, and improve processes. You will practice primarily with Lean and change management techniques, which you will immediately apply in a mini-project during the simulation.

Learning block 3 (2 days)
In the final block, we will focus extensively on the Six Sigma methodology. Using the DMAIC structure, you will learn to improve and optimize the process through data analysis.

Certified trainers
Our trainers know the field both from the books and real-world practice. All of our Lean courses are taught by Lean Six Sigma (Master) Black Belts. Our trainers possess expert-level knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and relevant change management themes. Additionally, they have the right teaching skills to facilitate experiential learning for the group.

Target audience
The Green Belt course is intended for managers, project leaders, and consultants who are or will be taking a leading role in Lean Six Sigma improvement projects. It is also suitable for employees involved in improvement projects who wish to play a role. No specific prior education is required to participate in this course.

Bachelor's degree

Course objectives
After completing the course, you will be able to independently start and successfully complete a Lean Six Sigma project. You will know how to apply the various tools and techniques and translate theory into your own work or project environment.

Certification value:
You will be trained according to the standards of the ASQ® (American Society for Quality) to achieve the internationally recognized certification level of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Upon completing the course, you will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Theory exam
You may opt to take the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification Exam. To pass, you must successfully complete a theory exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. A score of at least 70% is required to pass.

When registering for the theory exam, you may participate for free in the exam preparation session. You need to register separately for this on the MKPC website.

Practical certification
If you wish to become a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, you will complete the course with a practical certification. For this, you must successfully complete one improvement project using the Lean Six Sigma approach. You will present the approach and outcomes to the examination committee. A score of at least 7.0 is required to pass!
