Target audience

You work at management level. You want to strengthen your skills at persuading others and learn how you can influence more effectively without having to use, for example, your formal status.

Course description

A key factor in obtaining better results is your ability to express your ideas to the right stakeholders and influence them to work with you towards a common goal. Influencing effectively means undertaking deliberate actions that stimulate individuals or groups to respond in a certain way. To achieve this, you will first need to understand how others perceive you and respond to you. Furthermore, you need to be able to tune your influencing style to the personality and interest of others.  

The course covers the following subjects:   

  • Power - manipulation - influence
  • Basics of influencing: ten influencing behaviours
  • The power of … believing
  • The power of … feeling
  • Influencing strategy: context, targets and goals determine effective influencing style
  • Inspiring presentations - authenticity as key factor
  • Debating game - experience what works and what doesn't
  • The power of … thinking
  • The power of …  will
  • Non-verbal aspects of influencing with impact
  • Stakeholder analysis

This course is based on learning by doing. We accelerate your learning process through interactive homework assignments, presentations, groups exercises, buddy coaching, discussions, personal case studies and action planning. By engaging your manager you will get sustainable results.
