Overview

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to perform the following key tasks:

•Describe the various methods Simpana software uses to protect VMware and and Hyper-V® virtual environments. 
•Compare and contrast the different transport modes available for protecting VMware® environments.
•Properly plan, install and configure the Virtual Server Agent (VSA).
•Identify the best fit for IntelliSnap for VSA and how to configure hardware snapshots for virtual environments.

The following elements will be demonstrated through lab exercises:

•Configuring the Virtual Server Agent, backup sets and subclients.
•Using the Virtual Server Agent to protect and restore virtual machine data.
•Configure IntelliSnap options for Storage Policies and subclients.
•Configure reports and alerts relating to virtual protection and recovery.

Attendees should have attended the Core Fundamentals course.
