The Master in Sports Management (MISM) is a practical Master which gives you the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills to excel in the sports industry. The MISM is for individuals who have a passion for sport and wish to develop their professional career in the sport sector. It is a unique program because the student group consists of athletes, former athletes and people with a passion for sport from (sport) businesses. The Master in Sports Management (MISM) is a practical Master which gives you the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills to excel in the sports industry. The MISM is for individuals who have a passion for sport and wish to develop their professional career in the sport sector. It is a unique program because the student group consists of athletes, former athletes and people with a passion for sport from (sport) businesses. This mix of people from different backgrounds can share their experiences and learn from each other. The study program includes multi-disciplinary coursework, case studies, individual research, team projects, experiential learning, site visits and a study trip abroad, providing you with valuable knowledge and skills to advance your career. All study materials used during the Master are sports oriented and you participate actively in the learning process.
The program consists over 250 contact hours (2 classes per week
of 3 hours per week plus a number of Saturday sessions) and
additional 600 study hours over a 10-month period starting each
September in Amsterdam. The International Master of Sports
Management is delivered in English, catering for Dutch and
international students.
