Notes
- Learn how PowerDesigner 15.0 can be used as a tool during the data analysis, data modeling, and database design processes. A well-known "best practice" in Information Engineering (IE) is to model the information at the conceptual , logical and physical levels.
- Employ PowerDesigner to create a conceptual data model with entities, attributes, and relationships. Learn to target a DBMS, generate and enhance a physical data model, and then generate a database creation script for database tables, indexes, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
- You will also explore the reverse engineering features of PowerDesigner to create physical, logical and conceptual models from an existing database, as well as learn iterative modeling by using compare and merge model features and synchronizing physical data models with corresponding databases and vice versa. Finally, learn how to use and mange the Enterprise Repository for storing and sharing enterprise models across disparate groups and locations.
