• Learn how to quickly migrate from Sybase IQ 12.6/12.7 to Sybase IQ 15. In this course, you will install Sybase IQ version 15 and examine the architectural differences from previous versions to help you better understand the architectural issues and alternative methods of migration you may encounter. You will learn new features and behavioral changes in the new version. You will begin with a Sybase IQ 12.7 database that you will migrate/upgrade to a Sybase IQ version 15 database. Data migration for simplex and multiplex environments will also be discussed.
• For data extraction, transformation and loading, you will learn how to make use of Sybase IQ ETL. Explore the ETL interface, and discuss the use of projects and jobs, as well as how data is moved from sources to destination targets. Once you have covered the basics, you will learn and explore the use of more advanced ETL development tools.
• Hands-on labs will reinforce common scenarios of installation and configuration as well as data migration. At the conclusion of this course, you will take away scripts, procedures and ideas, so as to execute in the workplace newly acquired techniques specific to Sybase IQ 15 migration.
