During this 9-week full-time course, candidates will learn to write full-stack applications in Javascript and Python, the most used programming languages by coders everywhere. The trainees will learn cutting-edge and in-demand technologies, tools, and approaches that development teams around the world are looking to implement but sometimes might just lack the experience or capacity for.

As new developers on the team, they will bring this knowledge and skills to the table. By the end of this course, they will be able to create full-stack applications using the technologies most demanded by the market.

The course was originally developed by our team in Codaisseur, the #1 Code Academy in The Netherlands.

Who's This Course For?

This Academy is meant to train juniors for their first job in development. The curriculum is built in such a way that candidates will be able to join without prior coding experience. This course has produced almost 600 junior developers over the years and is constantly updated and upgraded to match the ever-developing demands of modern web development.

What's In This Course?

The first week of the Academy is self-paced and can be followed fully remotely. It is slower in pace, so that you can build a strong foundation in knowledge and take your time learning brand-new concepts.

We will be organising 1:1 and group check-ins throughout the week, so you will have plenty of time to ask all your questions. You will be added to our community channels, and our online learning platform.

Together with our Career Team, we will design a growth plan with you. No matter what previous education and work experience you have, we're sure that you have a lot of transferable skills and experience, and we want to make sure that we highlight these when you start approaching companies.

While we encourage our students to be onsite as much as possible with us during the following 8 weeks, our classrooms are fully hybrid.

HTML & Git

HTML is the most basic building block of the Web. It defines the meaning and structure of web content. You'll also learn to use Git, a version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects quickly and efficiently, and start collaborating with your classmates and developers from day 1.

CSS

HTML brings the structure to a web page, while CSS makes it look and feel a certain way. Learn to create advanced style sheets for great looks, UX, and accessibility. CSS features typography, layout, animation, and colouring.

Modern Javascript Syntax

Modern Javascript is a living, breathing thing. New tools and awesome features come out every day! Get up-to-date with the latest built-in features like spreading, destructuring, and template literals. Our course will give you all the cutting-edge knowledge, including any tools created after this description was written.

Functional Javascript

You will learn how to use modern and functional Javascript in writing algorithms using pure functions and immutable data to ensure there are no side effects in your code. No side effects means fewer bugs.

React & Redux

A scaling application needs an architectural strategy. Learn to combine your knowledge of Redux with React and integrate a global Redux store into your React app. You'll also learn how to work with selectors, action creators, and more.

Authentication With JWT

Can you hack into our website? How do you access protected resources from an API? Learn about authentication, JWT (JSON Web Tokens) and add security to your app!

Databases & REST APIs

Don't want to lose all your data when your app crashes? Need to aggregate large amounts of information over time? Want to share your data with users all over the world performantly? You need databases! In this boot camp, we'll focus on HTTP and networking, front-end/backend architecture, creating a REST API (server), relational databases and PostgreSQL, designing a data model, relations, migrations, and connecting a web server to a database.

Continuous Integration (CI)

Continuous Integration (CI) is an automated process that helps development teams to deliver software continuously.

Backend Authorization

Are your App users allowed to do what they're trying to do? It's time to ensure only those with an admin role can access your control panel. You'll cover Authentication APIs and how to build token-based login systems using JWT.

Python

Python is an easy-to-adopt programming language that is installed on most systems. Furthermore, the Python ecosystem offers a plethora of libraries that can be imported to do almost everything you can imagine, from security to data science to image recognition and deep learning AI.
