Nadine Galle
Consultant at Metabolic
Nadine was born in the Netherlands and grew up in Canada, where she developed her love for the outdoors and her commitment to conserving it. She studied environmental sciences and biology in Toronto before obtaining her Master’s degree in Earth Sciences in Amsterdam. Her global mindset and experience in communicating across cultures, have led her to work on sustainability projects spanning five continents.
After joining the company in early 2016, Nadine worked extensively with Metabolic Lab, the company's experimental showcase of applied circular urban development at De Ceuvel in Amsterdam. She has led Material Flow Analyses on various scales, including for Schiphol Airport, the Dutch Island of Vlieland, and for several Dutch festivals. She holds a particular interest in evidence- and nature-based solutions to enhance resilience in cities and aims to make circularity measurable through the development of indicator sets for the built environment. She has also established a partnership with the University of Amsterdam (UvA) to run a summer school on Circular Cities (starting July 2018) and manages Metabolic’s range of Masterclass programs.
