A Pitstop is a 4-hour team meeting in which participants do The Team Performance Loop board game with each other and also do a complex problem action learning session of90 minutes (excluding check in and check out) in which a group of 6-8 participants learn and work on real problems, take actions and develop individuals, teams and organizations. This is done under the guidance of an Action Learning Team Coach (a team performance process facilitator).
- What is the result?
The action learning method helps (temporary) teams, organizations and entire sectors develop creative, flexible and successful strategies to address problems. During an action learning session, the team is put into an inquisitive mode. What is the real problem? What are the solution options? What are the priorities? What does it mean cross-team? How do we reach the right decision making? And what do we as a team think what team working arrangements will best support this? And how do we hold each other accountable for this?
This creates a culture in which flexibility, commitment, cooperation, ability to solve complex problems and personal skills grow as a team and changed circumstances are no longer embraced as an obstacle but as a new opportunity.
