DevOps requires a new way of working. With multidisciplinary teams, actively collaborating with the customer, end-to-end responsibility for products and services and automating the delivery process as much as possible through Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), DevOps can greatly improve the delivery speed and quality of IT systems.

Because the basis for the success of DevOps is formed by a close collaboration between developers and system administrators, it is important to have a thorough knowledge of the DevOps mindset, the associated culture and the operation of CI/CD pipelines. There are countless tools that you can use within a DevOps team, but which tool do you choose and what do all those tools do exactly?

This course ensures that you get a good idea of DevOps and the most commonly used tools for CI/CD at a conceptual level. The common thread of the day is formed by the abbreviation CALMS: Culture, Automation, LEAN, Measurements & Sharing.

This explains the most important aspects of DevOps and Continuous Delivery. With an extensive live demo, plenty of room for interaction and the opportunity to discuss relevant case studies, DevOps and CI/CD come to life.

After following this course you will be familiar with the most important concepts of DevOps and Continuous Delivery and you will see in detail how a CI/CD pipeline works. You are therefore better able to make choices which tool(s) are suitable for your situation and how to use them in a smart way.

   - Source control with git and github
   - Continuous integration and building with Jenkins Pipelines, Docker & Vagrant
   - Testing with Selenium, Soapui, Postman, Junit, Cucumber
   - Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet, Chef
   - Container orchestration with Docker Swarm and Kubernetes
   - Deployment on premise or in the cloud: Amazon Web Services, Pivotal Cloudfoundry, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Services or Open Stack with Docker or Packer.
